Assegaaibosch Nature Reserve is a historical gem in the Jonkershoek Valley. It is approximately 9km from Stellenbosch. This 204 hectares reserve lies next to the Eerste River, which forms the northern boundary and extends up the north-eastern slope of Stellenbosch Mountain, forming the southern boundary. It is a lovely place to picnic as a couple or as a family. The reserve is caters for people with disabilities.
