Stellenbosch is a part of this spectacular reserve which has seven rivers running through it – all unfortunately under threat. It is home to many Cape Dutch homesteads and the main form of agriculture is viticulture. The Cape Winelands Biosphere Reserve includes 4 nature reserves: The Greater Simonsberg Conservancy, Limietberg, Mont Rochelle and Jonkershoek. This area focuses both on human well-being and conservation and is located within the Cape’s Floral Kingdom. Also incorporated into the Reserve are Franschhoek, Paarl, Wellington, Rawsonville, and Villiersdorp. There are a host of tours which we at Life & Leisure can arrange to make your travel experience a memorable one.
