Cheetah Outreach is an education and community-based program created to raise awareness of the plight of the cheetah and to campaign for its survival. Founder Annie Beckhelling launched the project in January 1997 with just one hectare of land proved by Spier Wine Estate and two cheetahs. The Cheetah Outreach is established to protect the Cheetah race for survival. Cheetah Outreach is located in Somerset West near Strand. It is 20.2km from Life & Leisure, Stellenbosch. It is perfect for a day trip away from Stellenbosch to see these cats and how the community is protecting them. Strand beach is only 2.8 km further on if you want to go visit the beach afterwards.
