The Botanical Gardens are located in the historical center of Stellenbosch. They are the oldest university botanical gardens in South Africa. This compact garden houses an enormous diversity of plants, both indigenous to South Africa as well as exotic plants. The Garden is open to the public and admission is free. The Botanical Garden is literally around the corner from Life & Leisure. It is a great place for an afternoon picnic or tea in the gardens, or to simply relax in the tranquility of these gardens.
